Sexy Sadness Calendar

Stephanie McDonell and I have been collaborating on zine projects for some time under the moniker Clown Community College Press. These projects have seen us attempt to push the envelope of what constitutes a zine: A fictional field guide to species of clown native to the Pacific Northwest, a bag of junk mail alluding to a currently occurring apocalypse, a catalog for a fictional junk food company in the future where food is scarce, and more. Our most recent zine was created in 2018 for Print Ready and was titled Sexy Sadness.

This calendar can be used to accurately keep track of the year, but also gives a glimpse into the life of a 20-something woman in 2018 getting through a tough year by doing exactly what our mothers always told us to: Put on a little lipstick and smile through it.
